the ramble dump

I have one last thing to offer before 2006 arrives. A joint effort with Ella 'Snails' Turnbull, and heavily featuring both of us (not that we're egotistic or anything...), we bring you a story that was originally intended to be a brief two-part collaboration posted on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but that we ended up having too many ideas for, so we've had to extend it a little.

There's now going to be several installments, starting today and taking you right up to the new year. It's slightly in-jokey, but not too muchly so.

I did this last month. I would have posted it earlier, but I was planning on adding a background. Then I realised that I'm way too lazy for that. I was also too lazy to clean the final one up a bit before posting it.

Done with 2B and HB pencils (whichever was nearest at the time), and then pink for the costume, green for the boots, metallic red for the shadows and metallic green for the weird lighting that apparently has no effect on the surrounding area. It was originally intended to be for a promotional FMIT sort of thing, which is why I played around with the idea of green lighting. I might try that again, but with whoever I draw next time adopting a more interesting pose.
